School Welcome

Welcome to High Desert Middle School, where everybody belongs. At High Desert we offer our students a comprehensive education while also housing the District's middle school pathway through the Dual Immersion Program.

Our mission at High Desert Middle School is to foster a supportive and inclusive environment where open communication, respect, and a strong sense of community are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to nurturing family bonds and building lasting relationships that enhance the well-being of every student and staff member. By embracing these values, we aim to create a space where everyone feels valued, heard, and connected.

At High Desert, we strive to support students through academic triumphs and challenges by actively seeking ways to support and advocate for each student. We offer students a way to reach their full academic potential and continue their success into high school. We operate under the Positive Behavior Support System, which emphasizes our 4 Ways to Be A Diamondback: 

H - Honor: Always act with integrity and respect for yourself and others

D - Determination: Keep trying, even when things get tough - effort leads to growth.

M - Mindfulness: Be aware of your thoughts, words, and actions. Treat others with kindness

S - Service: Giving back and helping the community

Leading by example, our staff and students will commit to doing the right thing, even when it’s difficult. Our staff and administrators will ensure consistency by following through and supporting school-wide expectations.  This year, our school-wide goal will be to help students be organized and prepared to learn in every classroom.

Together, we will build a vibrant and compassionate community at High Desert Middle School that reflects our shared values and welcomes every student and all families.
